How to share a file online

Create a ToolJee download link for any file. Your file stays private, and the link stops working after 24 hours.

File Share is for sending a single download link when email attachments are too large or you need a temporary hand-off. Sign in, upload once, copy the link, and send it. Recipients open the link to download until the expiry time. After expiry, ToolJee removes the stored object so the old link cannot fetch the file. Download landing pages use noindex so temporary links are not meant to become public search results.

How it works

  1. 1Sign in to your ToolJee account.
  2. 2Drop a file or choose one from your device.
  3. 3Wait for the link, then copy it.
  4. 4Send the link — people can download the file directly.

Tips for better results

  • Double-check you are sending the link to the right person — anyone with the URL can download while it is active.
  • Prefer shorter-lived shares for sensitive documents; delete the link early from My shared files if plans change.
  • Stay within free plan size and active-link limits shown on the page before uploading large archives.

Frequently asked questions

Where are my files kept?

In private cloud storage. The download link does not show your account details.

Can I remove a link early?

Yes — from My shared files on the File Share page while signed in.

What happens after 24 hours?

The link stops working and the stored file is deleted from Share storage.

Is my file uploaded to ToolJee for this tool?

Conversion and editing for PDF, image, video, and QR tools run in your browser. Optional File Share and Business cloud save only store what you explicitly choose to save or share.

Do I need an account?

Most tools work without signing in. File Share uploads and Business cloud save require an account.

Why add how-to text on a tool page?

So you can complete the job with clear expectations — privacy, limits, and common mistakes — even before you click the first button.
